Yoga Nidra is an ancient, sleep-based meditation technique that gently guides you into the deepest states of relaxation. It allows your entire body and mind to be bathed in peace, stillness, and healing—offering a profound sense of restoration.
Before we begin, I’ll share a little about this powerful practice and answer any questions you may have. Then, I’ll gently guide you into a deeply nourishing Yoga Nidra meditation. You are welcome to experience it seated, lying down, or even walking mindfully—this is your journey, and you are in charge of your experience.
For the most comfortable and immersive experience, I recommend lying on your back with support under your head and legs, and keeping your body warm and cozy. If you have them, bring a yoga mat, pillows, blankets, an eye pillow, or a soft scarf to enhance your comfort.
Yoga Nidra is evidence-based and highly researched. Studies suggest that 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra can provide benefits equivalent to three hours of deep sleep. While nothing replaces actual rest, this practice offers a unique way to access deep healing and profound relaxation.
